Jace Jarrett, Miles Bailey Fuel Cody Past the World, Friday Afternoon

The Cody Cubs were back in action Friday afternoon as they kicked off the Cody Lions Wood Bat Tournament against World Baseball Showcases.
This was the 5th time this week that Cody has taken on the World.
The Cubs would take the game by a final of 8-1 and improved to 3-2 against the World, this week.
Jace Jarrett would take to the hill and tossed a gem of a game. He threw 4.1 innings, gave up 1 run on 6 hits and struck out 2, to earn his 3rd win of the season.
The Cubs got on the board early, scoring 4 runs in the first, thanks to a few miscues from the International Colts. Cody would plate 2 more in the 3rd and 5th.
Miles Bailey finished the day 2-2 at the plate with a pair of singles, 2-RBI and scored twice. He would reach safely in all four at-bats.
Jayvin McAlmond came on in relief and tossed 2.2 innings while striking out 3.
Following all the action the Cubs are now 18-13 on the season.
Up Next: They will take on the World again, tonight, playing host to the International Colts for a 7:30pm contest.
The Cubs are hosting the Wood Bat Tournament all week long. Tomorrow the Cubs play a double header at 3:30pm before closing out the Tourney on Sunday at 2:30 in the afternoon.
