Lady Warrior Basketball Home For The Big Horn Shootout

The Lady Warriors start the season 0-7 going into the Big Horn Shootout this weekend.

Worland has lost to St Thomas More (Rapid City, SD), Scottsbluff, NE., Rock Springs, Cody, Mountain View, Lyman, and Pinedale.

Four of those teams were ranked in Wyoming Girls Basketball.

The Lady Warriors will be at home this weekend for the Big Horn Shootout.

12 teams from Wyoming 1A, 2A, and 3A will compete.

The Lady Warriors will see Wind River Friday at Warrior Gym at 1:30 pm, then face Wyoming 2A number 2 ranked Rocky Mountain at 7:30 pm.

Worland Junior Yahaira Aguayo is 8th in scoring for the Wyoming 3A Western Conference with 8.7 points per game average.

Junior Nayelli Aguayo is 7th in assists with 2.3 per game, and 7th in steals with 2.7 per game.

Senior Josie Decker is 5th in the State of Wyoming 3A Girls Basketball with 1.1 blocks per game.

The Lady Warriors are led in scoring by Yahaira with 61 points, followed by Junior Manaia Peterson with 33, and Nayelli with 32.

Peterson leads the team in rebounds with 33, Nayelli has 27, and Sophomore MacKenzie Ray with 24.

Nayelli leads the team in assists with 16, as well as steals with 19.

Decker has 8 blocks this season.
