Lady Warrior Basketball Start Conference At Home

The Lady Warriors begin Conference play Friday night at Warrior Gym. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
Worland is 2-8 this season with wins over Wind River 57-46 and the number 2 ranked Wyoming 2A team Rocky Mountain 36-31.
The Lady Warrior losses were to a top-ranked St. Thomas More team and a ranked Scottsbluff team, 4A Rock Springs, the number 1 ranked team in Wyoming 4A Girls Basketball in the Cody Fillies, the Wyoming 3A number 3 ranked Mountain View Lady Buffalos, 3A number 5 ranked Lyman Lady Eagles, Pinedale although unranked are 10-1 on the season and Lovell in a Non-Conference match-up.
The Lovell Lady Bulldogs come into Worland unranked and with an 8-4 record.
The Lady Bulldogs have wins over 4 ranked teams including the top 3 teams in Wyoming 2A.
Lovell has beaten Wyoming 2A number 3 ranked Tongue River, Lander, Burns, 2A number 2 ranked Rocky Mountain, 2A number 1 Wyoming Indian, and 1A number 2 ranked Burlington and Worland.
Lovell is ranked 11th in team scoring in Wyoming 3A Girls Basketball averaging 43 points per game.
Their shooting percentage is 9th in 3A at 35.1% and 57% from the free throw line.
Defensively the Lady Bulldogs are ranked 8th overall allowing 41.2 points per game and giving up an op[ponents shooting percentage of 35.8%.
Team rebounding is ranked 8th with 30.3 per game with their opponents rebounding 23.3 a plus 7.7 on the boards.
Kallie Owens averages 10.1 points per game ranked 7th in the West of Wyoming 3A, Owens averages 7.9 rebounds per game which is 6th best in Wyoming 3A Girls basketball, she has 95 total rebounds.
Top Lady bulldog scorers are also number 15 Libby Mickelson averaging 7.2 PPG.
Number 11 Lily Edwards has shot 53, 3 point shots making 17 for a 32% from beyond the arch.
Amee Newman averages 3.3 steals per game, the 8th best in Wyoming 3A.
Saturday the Lady Warriors will face the Powell Lady Pathers at 2:30 PM at Warrior Gym.
Powell is 4-5 this season with wins over Lander, Number 5 ranked Wyoming 1A Riverside, Number 1 ranked 2A Wyoming Indian, and Thermopolis.
The Lady Panther losses are to Wyoming 4A number 3 ranked Laramie 41-26, a 10-1 Pinedale team 59-39, Wyoming 4A ranked number 1 Cody 55-13, 2A ranked number 2 Rocky Mountain 51-50, and Lovell 44-24.
Powell is ranked 13th in Wyoming 3A in scoring averaging 40.8 points per game.
They are 5th in shooting percentage with 37.9% from the field.
Defensively the Lady Panthers are ranked 6th allowing 40.2 points per game.
Powell is 11th on the boards with 28.1 per game, opponents get 23.8 per game for a plus 4.3.
Powell has 2 girls in the top 10m in scoring in the West number 10 Addy Thorington is 6th with a 10.7 average, and number 20 Maddie Campbell with 9.3 points per game putting her at 8th.
