Lady Warrior Softball Starts New Season With Changes

Written by on March 8, 2023

The Worland High School Girls Softball Team start their 3rd season in 2023.

The Lady Warriors have a new Head Coach Tim Barrus.

Like all the Spring Sports practices have been moved indoors with the field conditions not ideal.

This season will also see girls from Fremont County including Riverton and Lander Girls.

Riverton and Lander don’t have Girl’s Softball available and per WHSAA rules student-athletes can travel to the closes schools that have those sports available.

Similar to Cross Country, Swimming, and Soccer where student-athletes from other schools participate for Worland High School.

There are 24 girls out for softball this season and will have strong enough numbers to play JV, Varsity, and exhibition games.

The season starts March 17th in Cheyenne as an exhibition-style tournament, which was moved from Rock Springs and Green River.
