Lady Warriors Basketball Drop 2 Conference Games

In a need-to-win travel weekend, the Lady Warriors Basketball falls to conference opponents Powell and Lovell.

Friday night in Powell the Lady Warriors coming off a win against Lyman would face a Powell Lady Panther team that hadn’t lost a conference game 3-0.

Worland would struggle from the field and on the boards coming out down 5-12 in the first period.

The second period would heat up for the Lady Warriors adding 10, unfortunately, Powell was also hitting offensively adding 14 for a 15-26 halftime Lady Panther lead.

Coming out of halftime the Lady Warriors would continue to struggle and added only 3 points in the 3rd period, Powell with the lead 38-18 at the end of 3 periods.

The Lady Panthers would win the game 50-28 sending the Lady Warriors to 1-3 in the conference and 4-12 overall.

Saturday in Lovell the Lady Warriors needing a win to try and get to the 2nd seed against the Lady Bulldogs.

A slow start by both teams ending the 1st period 2-9.

Lovell would add 16 in the 2nd period to take a 25-10 halftime lead.

In the second half the Lady Warriors would close the Lovell lead to 6 midway through the 3rd period.

Lovell would go on a run and end the 3rd period up by 12.

The Lady Warriors would try and mount a comeback but would fall short and the Lady Bulldogs would get the 45-32 win.

Worland is now 4-13 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
