Lady Warriors Win Big

After a reschedule of a game that was originally suppose to be Saturday the Lady Warriors and Hot Springs County would meet on the court Tuesday in Warrior Gymnasium.

The Lady Warriors would start what will be their finally five games of the season. All five games are rematches. The Lady Bobcats were Worland’s first game of the season. The Lady Warriors won that game by ten 60-50. The Lady Bobcats were 3-11 coming into the game and 0-4 in the Northeast Quad.

Slow start for the Lady Warriors although they would never trail in the game. A game that would not have their starting point guard in Brooke Wright. Tymberlynn Crippen would take that roll. Crippen would hit a three pointer in the opening period as the Lady warriors would take a 14-7 first period lead.

Julie Johnson had the highest scoring game for Hot Springs all season against the Lady Warriors with 24 points. She finished the first half with zero. The largest scoring for the Lady Bobcats came from Kamry Bowman with seven.

Denali Jones finished the first half with thirteen points. Darla Hernandez with eight as the Lady Warriors would score twelve in the second period and go into halftime with a 31-18 lead.

The third period would see the Lady Warriors put up sixteen points to the Lady Bobcats eleven. Hernandez was the leading scorer in the period with six points two of those from the foul line. Kamry Bowman would hit her second three pointer in the period as she added five more to her twelve points. The third period ended with a 47-29 Lady Warrior lead.

Worland would hold Hot Springs to nine points in the final period to their fourteen. With three point shots from both Yule sisters. Carly with hers in the second period. Logan hit hers in the third period. Crippen got 2 threes and finished with eight points.

Julie Johnson finished with four points for the Lady Bobcats. Kamry Bowman was the Hot Springs high scorer with15.

Darla Hernandez finished with 18 points. She wasn’t the high scorer for the Lady Warriors. Denali Jones finished with a career high 20 points. Worland would get the 23 point win 61-38.

Worland will travel to Lovell on Friday for a 5:30pm game and to Powell on Saturday for another 5:30pm game. The Lady warriors are now 10-4 this season 2-1 in the Northwest Quad.
