“Life Link” Debuts Tonight
Written by Andrew-Rossi on September 27, 2018
A Powell man is seeing a dream fulfilled tonight as an idea he had just a few years ago hits the big screen.
The pilot episode of Life Link, a reality TV show about survival hunting, will be shown at Big Horn Cinemas this evening. Its creator is Garrett Burbank, a Powell resident whose only experience with film before this project was going to the movies. But Burbank had an idea for a “Survivor”-style reality show that would be driven by social media and centered on a mule deer archery hunt in the Bighorns.
The filming took place a year ago, and Burbank says the show is already receiving buzz from Hollywood. The crew included an Emmy-nominated producer, professional videographers with years of experience, a video editor who worked on Duck Dynasty and Shark Week, along with casting agents and professional writers. He also worked with local media professionals and outdoor enthusiasts Jake and Sheila Lucas to get the project rolling.
The show will debut at Big Horn Cinemas this evening in Cody.
