Lincoln Day Dinner Hosts Big Names

The Park County Republicans are hosting some pretty big names at their annual Lincoln Day dinner tonight.
In addition to all of the state’s major elected officials (minus the Governor), Senator John Barrasso and Congresswoman Liz Cheney will be in attendance at the sold-out event at the Holiday Inn. And Cheney is bringing a very special guest – her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney. That’s according to Geri Hockhalter with the Park County Republican Party.
When asked how the Party managed to confirm the attendance of such a high-profile official such as the former Vice President, Hockhalter says it was simple – she just asked Cheney’s Chief of Staff, Kara Ahern.
Hockhalter says that in addition to the officials who are already holding office in Wyoming, most everyone who is running for a major office in the state are also planning to attend. And they won’t be wasting any time while they’re here – many candidates will be meeting with constituents throughout the County today.
The Lincoln Day Dinner is an annual fundraiser for the Park County Republican Party. Hockhalter says the funds go to supporting Republican candidates statewide as well as locally.
