“Losers” Are Winners

The Big Horn Radio Network is celebrating losers.
Winners, that is, of a weight loss competition which ended last week. The annual Losin’ It At Work contest ended with a final weigh-in last Monday, and the results have been tabulated.
While the team “Dental Divas” were the weekly winners for week six, the big winners, or rather, losers, were the Powell Volunteer Fire Department team.
As a group, the Department lost 100 pounds, and 8.9 percent of their body weight over the six week period. But individual winners were also celebrated – a member of the team “The Bod Squad” lost over twenty pounds, which was almost 14 percent of their body weight.
Jed Burns, sales director for the Big Horn Radio Network, says that the purpose of the contest was to help create healthy habits that will last long after the competition ends.
The Powell Volunteer Fire Department came in first overall, the Dental Divas were in second place, and third place went to the team “The Triminators,” who as a group lost over 70 pounds and 5.36% of their body weight.
Burns added that the winners of the contest will be contacted to receive their prizes.
