Quinn Lindsay, of Lovell, has officially signed his letter of intent with the Universiy of Wyoming for Track and Field. Lindsay officially took pen to paper last Monday at Lovell High School.

His Dad, Chad, officially made the announcement last week, via Twitter:

According to the Lovell Chronicle, Lindsay had the opportunity to compete at a variety of colleges and universities in both football and track and field, including Stanford University for track, but he chose to stick with throwing.

I thought this was the best opportunity for pushing me ahead in life and preparing me for my medical and athletic pursuits,” Lindsay said.

Some of Lindsay’s top throws as a member of the Bulldogs include a 58 feet, 7 inch throw in the shot put for indoor track, a school record. A 182 foot, 5 inch throw in the discus, also a school record. For outdoor track, his best shot put throw is 54 feet, 8 inches. He also has the furthest weight throw in the history of Wyoming at 62-6 in certain meets.

Lindsay plans on competing in the hammer throw in college as well as the discus throw

His father Chad, to this day is the LHS record holder in the shot put.

In addition, Quinn Lindsay and the Lovell High School team would defeat Cheyenne Central over the weekend for the Wyoming Academic Challenge State Championships.
