Lower SF Road Closure

Written by on August 9, 2018

A portion of the Lower Southfork Road will be closed beginning Monday to allow for the construction of a new bridge.
Road 6QS, also known as the Lower Southfork Road, will be closed about a quarter mile north of the intersection with the Southfork Highway for about two weeks beginning August 13th. According to Park County Road and Bridge, the closure is related to the new bridge being constructed over the Southfork River.
The road is scheduled to re-open on Monday, August 27, but there will still be a way to access the road for emergencies and for local residents. Drivers can use the north access point to Road 6QS, which is at milepost 9.10 on the Southfork Highway. Any questions should be directed to the Park County Engineers Office at 527-8520 or 754-8520.
