The Cody Firearms Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West is working on a new interactive exhibit, and will be asking for assistance from United States veterans.
The Firearms Museum is currently closed, undergoing a massive renovation, which will be complete this summer. Among the many exhibits to be unveiled is the Military Area, which will incorporate first-hand accounts from U.S. veterans. Ashley Hlebinsky, the curator for the Cody Firearms Museum, is asking veterans to relay testimonials of their service and experiences.
Hlebnisky is in Las Vegas this week at the SHOT Show, an annual trade show for the shooting, hunting and firearms industry. She said that in addition to promoting the new Veterans Experience, she says that she’s been busy promoting the museum itself.
Hlebinsky says that they hope to begin installing the new museum exhibits in April, with a soft opening expected in June.
