Minor Earthquake Near Shoshoni

Fremont County residents may have felt a small earthquake late Monday night.
The epicenter was between Shoshoni and Moneta, just south of Highway 26. It registered at 11:24 p.m. Monday night. There have been no reports of damage.
According to the United State Geological Survey’s website, the quake registered at 2.7 on the Richter scale. The news outlet County10.com points out that earthquakes at this magnitude are typically described as minor.
