Motorcycle Crash Claims Local Victim

A Cody man was killed this weekend in a one vehicle motorcycle accident north of Cody.
According to Sgt. Kyle McKay with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 59 year old Jerry Brothers, known locally as Cujo, was driving his motorcycle southbound on Highway 120 north of Cody just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10. McKay says for reasons unknown, while negotiating a left hand curve Brothers left the roadway, rolling several times. McKay says no safety equipment was being worn at the time of the crash, and Brothers died at the scene.
McKay stressed the importance of wearing helmets when driving a motorcycle or other open topped vehicle.

McKay said that road conditions were clear at the time of the accident, and alcohol was not indicated as a contributing factor.
