Murray Says Cody a “Pocket of Prosperity”

Written by on October 10, 2017

Wyoming’s Secretary of State made a visit to Cody yesterday.
Ed Murray was in town Monday as part of his periodic travels to meet with economic development leaders and county clerks around the state. He met yesterday with County Clerk Colleen Renner, as well as James Klessens with Forward Cody, and stopped in to the KODI studios while he was here.
Murray told KODI news that Park County is in excellent shape from an economic standpoint, calling this region a “pocket of prosperity” when compared with other parts of Wyoming.

Murray cited the quality healthcare and increasing industry as examples of the strength of Cody’s economy, specifically pointing out the expansion of Cody Labs and the introduction of the USDA meat packing facility at Wyoming Legacy Meats. Murray also alluded to an upcoming increase in production at the CertainTeed Gypsum plant.
