MY DAY EXPLORING CODY
Written by Terry Michael on June 29, 2021
I thought it was time for me and my family to do more exploring of Cody and everything it has to offer. First stop was the Farmer’s Market Saturday morning’s on the corner of 13th and Beck. It isn’t a huge market but we spent 30 minutes wandering around and visiting with the vendors. There are some interesting stories and history behind the goods they offer. We ended up taking home some homemade apple jelly, jalapeno bread and sourdough brownies. All were exceptional and we will be back.
Next stop was the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. The last time I was there was when I was a youngster in grade school in Park City, Mt. Wow has it changed. From the minute we walked in, it just feels like a different world. The artwork, the animals, the stories that go along with them are amazing. We spent 4 hours in the museum and only made it through half. Being from Montana/Wyoming, my favorite area was the gun wing since I spent a majority of my life hunting. If you haven’t been there in awhile take a day or two and enjoy.
Next stop was downtown Cody to walk around and enjoy some of the shops and specialty stores. Needless to say we went home with barbecue sauce, jalapeno and cheese elk sausage and candy. There is always something new and exciting going on in Cody so get out and enjoy.
