Written by on May 7, 2018

It’s National Travel and Tourism Week, and as tourism is a cornerstone of Cody’s economy, there will be several events that will commemorate the topic.
National Travel and Tourism Week is an annual tradition for the U.S. travel community. It’s a time when travel and tourism professionals across the country unite to celebrate the value travel holds for our economy, businesses and personal well-being.
Today, officials from the surrounding National Parks will be present at Cody Club’s Parks Day luncheon at the Holiday Inn. Attendees will hear presentations from representatives of Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Bighorn Canyon, among other agencies, and will be able to ask questions on topics such as the upcoming construction projects in Yellowstone.
Later this week, the 5th Annual Parks and Pancakes event will take place on the porch at the Chamber. Chamber members this Thursday will celebrate the opening of the East Entrance and National Travel and Tourism week from 8am to 10am with a free pancake breakfast for the entire community.
