New Cell Tower a Win-Win for County

A new cell tower on the South Fork will bring improved service to residents and visitors – without impacting the views.
At last Tuesday’s meeting, Park County Comissioners approved the request by Verizon to place a 35-foot tower in a County-owned gravel pit near Andy Martin Hill. Commissioner Loren Grosskopf says that the deal was a win-win for the County and its residents.
Last year, a group of residents opposed a proposal to place a cell tower on the South Fork Highway that would have impacted line of sight for many residents about 8 miles up the South Fork. But Grosskopf said that this proposal went unopposed.
