Written by on November 8, 2019

LANDON LENGFELDER HAD TWO RUSHING TOUCHDOWNS, POWELL HELD CODY TO JUST 30 YARDS RUSHING AND THE PANTHERS DEFEATED THE BRONCS 20-13 FRIDAY NIGHT.

THE PANTHERS ENGINEERED A 80 YARD OPENING DRIVE TOUCHDOWN THAT TOOK 8 AND A HALF MINUTES OFF THE CLOCK TO BEGIN THE GAME. AFTER A BRONCS TOUCHDOWN THE PANTHERS WOULD THEN ANSWER WITH TWO MORE SCORES OF THEIR OWN TO LEAD THE BRONCS 20-7 AT THE HALF.

THE BRONCS WOULD GET ON THE BOARD MIDWAY THROUGH THE THIRD QUARTER FOLLOWING A PANTHERS FUMBLE AND CUT THE LEAD TO SEVEN BUT IN THE END POWELL PROVED TO BE TO MUCH AND HELD ON FOR THE VICTORY.

THE PANTHERS DEFENSE HELD CODY TO THEIR LOWEST RUSHING OUTPUT OF THE SEASON. THE BRONCS MANAGED JUST 30 YARDS ON THE GROUND.

KADEN ABRAHAM AND BRODY KARHU COMBINED TO LEAD THE PANTHERS WITH 147 YARDS ON THE GROUND AND A SCORE WHILE THE BRONCS WERE LED BY HUNTER HAYS 140 YARDS THROUGH THE AIR.

WITH THE WIN POWELL ADVANCES TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WHERE THEY WILL TAKE ON STAR VALLEY IN A RE-MATCH OF THE 2016 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. THAT CONTEST IS SET TO KICK OFF AT 3 IN THE AFTERNOON ON FRIDAY.
