The Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies mobilizing in Powell.
Next Saturday, August 1st, the Food Bank of The Rockies will have 300 boxes of non-perishable food available for distribution to Park County Residents. Once again, they will be employing the mobile food pantry technique they developed in response to the contact risks of COVID-19. The boxes being distributed contain a mixture of non-perishable food that can be easily stored and has a significant shelf life, such as pasta. Hundreds of boxes are packed and distributed during each of these mobile pantries, and nobody has to pre-register for a box. They just have to drive up and open their trunks.
Residents are asked to arrive at Northwest College, 231 W 6th Street Powell, in the Cabre Gym parking lot on Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Attendees are asked to enter on North Beckman from 7th Street. Please clear a 4 ft x 4 ft area in your vehicle for your food box, which will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
