Park County Legislators To Receive Awards at CPAC Conference

Three Park County legislators are recognized for their consistent commitment to conservative causes and impeccable scorecards in the Wyoming Legislature.

Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union and former White House political director, sent emails to three Park County representatives. His purpose was to announce they will be recognized and receive awards for their conservative voting records.

State Senator Tim French and Representatives Dan Laursen and Rachel Rodriguez-Williams are being recognized on a state and national level. Only lawmakers who earned a score of 80% or above in their most recent scorecard are considered for the award.

  • Tim French has been serving as the State Senator for District 18 since Jan. 4, 2021.
  • Dan Lauren was elected as the Representative of House District 25 in 2014. He was re-elected to the position in the 2020 General Election.
  • Rachel Rodriguez-Williams has been the Representative of House District 50 since Jan. 4, 2021.

French, Laursen, and Rodriguez-Williams will receive their awards at the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (C.P.A.C.) in Orlando, Florida.

The awards will be presented to the Park County legislators by the Wyoming state delegation attending the conference.

C.P.A.C. is described as “the largest and most influential gathering of conservatives in the world” since the first conference in 1974.

Special guests expected at the event include Former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Ted Cruz, and many others.

The 2022 C.P.A.C. will occur from Thursday, Feb. 24, to Sunday, Feb. 27. French, Laursen, and Rodrigeuz Williams will be in attendance to receive their awards.
