Pepe’s Restaurant In Powell Announces It’s Closing

A popular restaurant in Powell is announcing that it’s closing it’s doors.
Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant on Bent Street in Powell won’t be serving their delicious food in June.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant says that, “All good things must come to an end,” and the last meal will be served on June 29th.
“It’s been a wild ride Powell friends,” states the post, as well as how much they appreciated their customers who have supported the restaurant for over two decades, but no reason was given as to why they decided to shutter their doors.
Comments on their post range from bittersweet to absolute shock.
“There will never be another Pepe’s,” wrote one Facebook follower.
Another said she enjoyed working for the family who has owned the restaurant for two decades, “One of my most favorite jobs I (sic) ever had. It was truly a pleasure getting to learn and spend time with all of you!”
People wished them blessings and praised their customer service. But one thing that was the common theme is that the food and people will certainly be missed.
