Powell Holding Economic Development Discussions

If you want to have a say in the economic development efforts in Powell, the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce and Powell Economic Partnership are hosting two listening sessions on Wednesday, February 22 at The Commons.

According to Christine Bekesh with the Powell Economic Partnership, the sessions are intended to listen and collect data so that the Powell Chamber and PEP can determine the most efficient and effective way to move forward for the community.

Bekesh says the sessions are based on a survey that has been made available to community members asking for their input on key economic topics.

The morning session tomorrow will be from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and the evening session will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The sessions are identical. The community is invited as a whole, including Powell Chamber members and local businesses.

If you are not available for the community listening sessions, the survey is available online, or you may stop in to the Chamber office for a paper copy and complete one there.
