Powell Meeting on Park County’s Health Concerns

Written by on February 6, 2020

A new year means new opportunities to better yourself and our community.

The Park County Community Health Coalition is holding its next community meeting today, February 6th, in Powell. This meeting will update the community on the work of the Powell Valley Healthcare, Cody Regional Health, Park County Public Health and Heritage Health Center.

The primary focus of today’s meeting will be the Park County Community Health Needs Assessment. Part of a 5 year process begin in 2018, the Park County Community Health Assessment analyzes a number of different health indicators including air and water quality, acute and chronic diseases and injuries, and social determinants of health including poverty, income and education.

This document serves as a reference to develop strategies to mobilize the community to address key health issues. But in order to determine these key issues, community input is a necessity. The meeting will begin around 11:30 at the Park County Schools #1 Support Services Building in Powell. And lunch will be provided.
