A string of burglaries in Powell has been solved.
The Park County Sheriff’s Office says that 14 different storage units in the Target Powell Valley Subdivision were broken into between December 20th and January 10th. Close to $15,000 worth of merchandise was reported missing.
Working in conjunction with agents from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, deputies from the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant last Friday at the Powell home of 42 year old Chad Michael Hill. The search of Hill’s residence revealed numerous items reported stolen from the storage units.
Officials say that upon execution of the search warrant, Hill was immediately arrested by deputies on an unrelated traffic warrant out of Park County Circuit Court. He was then further charged with a felony; “wrongfully taking or disposing of stolen property in excess of $1,000.”
Hill is currently being held at the Park County Detention center.
