Powell Visitor Center Has New Coordinator

There’s a new face at the helm of the Powell Visitor Center.
The Powell Economic Partnership announced this week that Rebekah Burns is the new Powell Visitor Center Coordinator. Christine Bekes, PEP Executive Director, says this is a brand new position, a result of the community outreach by PEP and the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce this past winter. In April, PEP took over the management of the operations of the Powell Chamber and immediately created and advertised for the new position of Visitor Center Coordinator.
Bekes says that Burns brings a high level of experience and expertise to the position, especially regarding communications and marketing. She spent 10 years with an international multimedia firm based in Maryland, in which she worked as Production Manager and ultimately Multimedia Marketing Manager. Burns and her husband, Logan, relocated to Powell in 2015 with their two young sons when her husband joined Northwest College as Assistant Professor for English.
