Public Input Sought on Wild Horse Plan
Written by Andrew-Rossi on April 13, 2018
The Bureau of Land Management Worland Field Office is requesting public input as it proposes to gather excess wild horses in the Fifteenmile Wild Horse Herd Management Area, as well as update the Agency’s wild horse management plan.
The Fifteenmile Management Area is located approximately 30 miles northwest of Worland in Washakie, Big Horn and Park counties. According to Sarah Beckwith with the BLM, both actions demonstrate the Agency’s commitment to maintaining healthy wild horses on healthy, productive public rangelands.
Beckwith says in addition, public input is needed for the update to the Fifteenmile HMA Plan, which will guide future management of the HMA and the wild horses within it for the next several years.
Comments should be received by May 15th.
