Public Meetings Set for Grizzly Regulations

Residents around the state have the opportunity to comment on new regulations regarding grizzly bear hunting seasons.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be holding a series of meetings to gather public comment, one of which will be held in Cody at 6 p.m. on April 10th at the Holiday Inn.
Brian Nesvik, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s chief game warden and chief of the wildlife division, says the draft regulation was shaped by public input that was received this fall and winter, along with the best available science. The new draft regulation is available for review online, and comments must be received by 5 p.m. April 30th.
A final recommendation on the regulations will be presented to the Game and Fish Commission in May, after gathering input from the public throughout the state.
