A reception for the new Public Works Director candidates for the City of Cody will be held tomorrow evening.
Cody City Administrator Barry Cook on Monday announced 3 final candidates for the Public Works Director job recently vacated by Steve Payne, who served in that capacity for over 20 years. According to a release from the City, the finalists were selected from a group of 19 applicants.
The three candidates originally included Cody native Justin Lundvall, Colorado resident Kim Swearingen, and Jim Pierce from Great Falls, Montana – however, later in the day on Monday, Pierce withdrew his name from consideration.
Lundvall and Swearingen have been invited for a Reception to which all City staff and community members are invited. The Reception will be held on Thursday, June 21st at the Cody Auditorium on Beck Avenue, beginning at 5:30 p.m. At the Reception, people will be welcome to personally speak with the candidates, who will then meet with interview panels consisting of community members, City staff and the City administrator on Friday, June 22nd.
