Rammell to Run for Governor in ‘22
Written by dariandudrick on March 16, 2021
Dr. Rex Rammell is back.
Monday morning on KODI’s “Speak Your Piece with Darian Dudrick,” the Rock Springs veterinarian said he will run for governor in 2022.
If Gov. Mark Gordon decides to seek re-election, Rammell would face him in the Republican primary. Rammell lost to Gordon in 2018 as a member of the Constitution Party.
A perennial candidate for public office, Rammell also has run unsuccessfully for U.S. House and Wyoming Senate. While living in Idaho, he was unsuccessful in gubernatorial and state legislative races.
If elected governor, Rammell said his top priority will be taking control of federal lands in Wyoming.
“I don’t have any doubt in my mind, zero doubt, that we can get the federal government out of the state of Wyoming,” Rammell said, adding this will be his last attempt at public office.
