Realtor Board Asks to Donate Shelter at Dog Park

Written by on June 6, 2017

There will be a public hearing tonight at the Cody City Council meeting to consider approving a request from the Northwest Wyoming Board of Realtors to construct and install a shelter in the Dog Park at Beck Lake.
That project would be fully funded by this group and then donated to the City of Cody.
Rick Manchester, Parks and Recreation Director for the City, says that the practice of private individuals or nonprofit organizations donating such assets to the City is becoming more common.

Other examples of nonprofit organizations donating assets to the City include the new all-inclusive park, which the Cody Rotary Club and other donors funded. Manchester says although the park is mostly open at this point, the grand opening for that playground at Mentock Park is scheduled for July 3rd.
