The Cody Firearms Experience is offering the public the chance to learn better protection for themselves, their homes, and their wallets.
The Experience will be hosting the NRA’s Refuse to Be a Victim Seminar this Saturday. This isn’t a weapons training seminar – instead it will explore basic precautions everyone can take in dangerous situations where they might not be armed. Paul Brock, the general manager of the Cody Firearms Experience, says there are simple steps that can help you look and feel less vulnerable. Several scenarios will be examined.
This seminar is given in conjunction and supported by the Park County Sheriff’s Department. The goal isn’t to intimate people but to increase awareness. Joe Fontana, one of the NRA instructors for Saturday’s workshop and a Cody Firearms Experience employee, will discuss another precaution for your home – Alexa, Siri, and other home devices that are always listening and recording, regardless of when you request them.
The NRA Refuse to Be a Victim Seminar is this Saturday from 9 to 1. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students. All ages are welcome to attend.
