Renovation Begins at Mammoth

Renovation on the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel begins next week in Yellowstone National Park.
As of September 3rd, no rooms will be available at the hotel in Mammoth, at the north end of the Park. While all other lodging and services will remain open until October 14th, after that point the cabins and main dining room will also be closed for the remainder of the winter.
The only services that will be available until next spring are the Map Room bar and barista, the lunch buffet in the 2nd floor conference room, the Hotel gift and ski shop, and snowcoach service to Old Faithful Snow Lodge.
The hotel rooms should become available again in late summer.
The construction project will involve accessibility improvements, updates to fire protection systems, seismic stabilization, and adding private bathrooms to each guest room.
