Republican Dinner Draws Candidates

Written by on May 29, 2018

Friday night’s Republican Dinner in Cody drew not only elected officials from Cheyenne and Washington D.C., but attracted candidates for statewide offices from all corners of the state.
Nathan Winters, running for State Auditor; Sam Galeotos, running for Governor; and Curt Meier, running for Treasurer, were just a few of the candidates who attended the fundraiser as part of their campaigns.
Mark Gordon has his feet in both camps – not only is he the state’s current Treasurer, he is running for Governor in this year’s election cycle. Gordon commented on how unique it is that as citizens of Wyoming, we have a more personal relationship with our elected officials.

One of Wyoming’s United States Senators, John Barrasso, was also present at the dinner. During his remarks, he commented on the tradition of service that Wyoming citizens represent.

The Lincoln Day Dinner is an annual fundraiser put on by the Park County Republican Party to support Republicans running for office both locally as well as statewide. The evening’s events at the Holiday Inn included a dessert auction as well as a silent and live auction.
