Road Closures Around County
Written by Andrew-Rossi on June 2, 2017
Drivers, be aware of some local road closures that will affect traffic in the next few days.
Road 3LD in the Meeteetse area just west of the bridge is closed due to high water flows in the river and partial road wash outs. The Park County Sheriff’s Office says this closure will remain in effect until further notice. Local traffic will be allowed on the road beyond the barricade, but drivers are advised to travel at their own risk as needed. Any questions on this closure should be directed to the Park County Engineers Office.
In Yellowstone, nightly closures from Norris to Golden Gate will begin Sunday, June 4th, at 10pm, and will continue through September 10th. This segment of road will be closed from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily, although the Norris and Indian Creek campgrounds will be open, and the road will remain open over night on Fridays and Saturdays. Drivers should expect up to 30-minute delays between Norris and Golden Gate anytime the road is open to the public.
