The Wyoming Transportation Commission last month awarded ten contracts totaling almost $23 million dollars – and some of that money will be spent in the Big Horn Basin.
Mountain Construction Co., of Lovell, was the low bidder on a $1.9 million road resurfacing and bridge rehabilitation project on Highway 32 between Lovell and Emblem in Big Horn County. The work will also include right-of-way fence installation. According to department officials, WYDOT is paying for this project with 10-cent-fuel-tax revenue. The work is expected to be complete by Oct. 31, 2018.
In other projects, the commission awarded over $219 thousand dollars to S&L Industrial, of Cowley, for resurfacing work on the tunnel pullouts on Highway 14-16-20 between Yellowstone National Park and Cody, to be completed by the end of June.
Additionally, King Enterprises, of Mills was awarded over $737 thousand dollars for snow fence work in various locations in Fremont and Park counties next year.
