Air BNB, traditional bed-and-breakfast inns, and other short-term rentals are becoming more and more popular.
And as more people use those services, the more questions arise regarding the regulation of those home-based businesses.
The Park County Board of Commissioners and Planning and Zoning Department are hosting five public scoping meetings to consider future updates to the Park County Development Standards and Regulations related to the topic of Short-Term Rentals.
According to Park County Planning and Zoning director Joy Hill, the meetings are intended to provide the public an opportunity to discuss concerns related to short-term rental regulation, as there have been concerns raised by residents in recent months.
Hill adds that these meetings are particularly intended for those living in the unincorporated areas of Park County.
Meetings will be held tonight at the Southfork Fire Hall; Thursday in the basement at the Park County Courthouse; next Thursday, September 5th at the Wapiti School Gym; and Tuesday, September 10th at the Clark Fire Hall. All meetings will be at 5 p.m.
