Sidewalk Cafe Approved for Juniper

The Cody City Council this week gave their approval for a sidewalk café on 12th Street.
Juniper Bar Market Bistro applied for the opportunity to expand their seating area to the sidewalk outside their business across the street from the Irma Hotel. The proposed area is small, 13-1/2 feet by 5 and a half feet, room for just six seats, which will still allow for passersby to use the sidewalk.
City Planner Todd Stowell says there were a couple of objections to the idea, mostly related to blocking the sidewalk.
At their meeting on Tuesday, the Council decided to approve the request, and review the situation after a year to see if there were any unacceptable impacts to neighboring businesses.
