The State Loan and Investment Board voted yesterday to provide funding that will allow a Cody business to expand their operations.
The application, sponsored by the City of Cody, requested a $748 thousand dollar grant to expand Wyoming Authentic Product’s facility by over 3500 square feet. According to James Klessens, CEO of Forward Cody, the expansion will add preparation, packaging and smoker capacity.
The expansion will allow the company to add 10 jobs by 2020. According to a release from the Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Authentic Products expects the expansion to increase production by 163 percent and grow market reach to 10,000 U.S. outlets by December of next year.
