Small Business Week Celebrated in Cody

For a community like Cody, it’s fitting that both National Travel and Tourism Week and Small Business Week are celebrated at the same time.
Small businesses are the lifeblood of any community, and this week the Cody Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the individual shops, restaurants and other businesses that help Cody to thrive.
Chamber Director Tina Hoebelheinrich says this year they are participating in a nationwide social media blitz that highlights local businesses by telling their stories.
Hoebelheinrich adds that this time of year, small businesses in Cody are appreciated more than ever, as the tourism season is already gearing up, and much of Cody’s economy is built on tourism and the locally-owned businesses that serve visitors.
National Small Business Week recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
