Bicycle riders of all abilities on Saturday raised more than $65,000 for a good cause.
59 men and 127 women took turns on spin bikes for over five hours Saturday at the Paul Stock Aquatic and Recreation Center as part of a fundraiser that will support the Cody Recreation Foundation and the Cody Regional Health Foundation.

The first annual “Spin Cody” event raised over $65,000 in gross revenue, along with $2000 in donated prizes for participants. And according to Annalea Avery, Director of the Cody Regional Health Foundation and Patient Experience Coordinator, the funds raised will benefit the whole community.

The event was the first of its kind in Cody, with winners determined by the number of miles ridden by each team, along with the top fundraising team. Avery said that 1,624 miles were ridden in the five hour event, with the winning fundraising team sponsored by Bromley Construction – their team raised $2,670 for the event.
