Stampede Board Ready for Rodeo

The Cody Stampede Board has several new faces, but board members say they are ready for a great season, celebrating 100 years of rodeo.
The board yesterday made their annual report to the Cody Chamber of Commerce. President Mike Darby introduced new members of the board, as well as new office staff. Darby also gave various committees the opportunities to speak on topics such as the Queen program and the Parade.
Mack Frost, who chairs the Parade Committee, says that they are still struggling to confirm a grand marshal for this centennial celebration.
But rodeo ticket sales are up so far this year, according to Taylor Bednarz, who has taken over as the office manager for the Stampede and Cody Night Rodeos. Bednarz reported that as of right now, pre-sold ticket sales are double what they were this time last year.
