Styx will be visiting the Cowboy State later this year! According to a release from the Ford Wyoming Center, the classic rock band will play Casper on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, as part of their 2023 World Tour.
The 2023 World Tour is in support of the band’s new studio album, “Crash of the Crown,” which is the band’s seventeenth studio album released on June 18, 2021.
Styx has had a massively successful career. Debuting in 1972, with their self-titled album ‘Styx’ the band became well known for their power ballads that had beautiful elements of hard rock, soft rock, and even musical theater. Styx had eight songs that hit the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100, as well as 16 top-40 singles. They sold more than 20 million records during the height of their popularity in the late ’70s and early ’80s.
‘Crash of the Crown’ is the follow-up to STYX’s 16th studio album, ‘The Mission released in 2017 which was the band’s first album in 14 years, and was considered by critiques to be a “Masterpiece”.
