SYP: Stephanie Weed, Absaroka Senior Living

Stephanie Weed, Director of Community Relations at Absaroka Senior Living, spoke about how to have that difficult talk with a parent or loved one who needs to transition to a new chapter in their life.  Steph also talked about caregiver burnout and how it can affect families with higher morbidity and suicide ideation rates.  Over 40 million Americans are currently providing unpaid care for people over 65 years of age and 90 percent of them are related to the person.  Even more troubling, statistics show that over 30 percent of caregivers die before their loved one passes away.
