Tara Joyce Breaks 50 Free Record, Powell Outduels Cody Swim

The Cody Filly Swim team was in Powell, on Tuesday, for a dual meet.
Powell would win the meet by a final of 185-121.
Cody’s Tara Joyce would set another state recored. She borke the 50 free state record with a time of 23.98 and was .06 second away from settign the 100 fly record. She went 58.47, the record is 58.41 and was set in 2003.
Other notable performances include:
Haven Robbins – broke 30 second in the 50 free
Divers did well – it’s reverse week which is a challenge for some of them, so yesterday was really about trying new dives in a competition setting!
Kelly Joyce – best time in the 100 fly, 2nd place finish in the 200 IM
100 free – best time by Summer LaVigne, great finish by Kelsey Pomajzl
500 Free – great finish by Haven Robbins (under 5 seconds from state qualifying), best time by Lily Jones
100 Back – best time by Summer LaVigne, 2nd place finish
100 breast – great swims all around, right on best times
1st place finish in the 400 free relay
The Fillies are back in action on Friday, traveling to Lander. On Saturday, they’ll be in Worland.
