The Best Meteor Shower of 2020 To Happen Sunday Night

Written by on December 8, 2020

It’s once again that time of year when we have a chance to see the best meteor shower space has to offer.

Starting the night of December 12th and going into the 13th is when the Geminid Meteor Shower is going to be taking place.

The show starts at about 9 pm and will increase in frequency until about 2 am the next day.  If you are in a dark place with little to no light pollution and clear skies, you are pretty much guaranteed to see some meteors.

The best way to see it is to lay on the ground with your feet facing south and look up.  More than 100 meteors are expected each hour which is about 2 to 3 meteors per minute.

So get out those cameras and mark your calendar for the night of December 12th.  Make sure to send any good pictures you take to the Big Horn Radio Network Facebook page.
