Tilden Offers Experience to Commission

Written by on May 17, 2018

The filing period for this year’s elections will run from today through June 1st. This week, KODI News is shining a spotlight on the individuals who have already declared their intention to run for the three open County Commissioner seats.
Joe Tilden is the only incumbent that will appear on the ballot this year in the race to keep his seat on the Park County Commission.
In his seven and a half years on the commission, Tilden has seen a number of serious issues come before the board – but a victory that he is proud of is how the commission has dealt with the budgetary concerns that have plagued the state in the last few years.

Tilden says he brings a broad spectrum of experience to the table, which allows him to make decisions from a unique perspective.

Although there are many controversial issues that come before the commission, such as population growth, federal land concerns, and private property rights, he says that as a commissioner, you have to make decisions based on what is best for both sides of the issue.
Tilden says that above all, he feels that his experience and dedication to the commission means that he is well-suited to continue the job.

The two-week filing period opens today for anyone who wishes to declare their intent to run for office in this year’s election cycle.
