Traffic Delays Expected North of Cody

Written by on June 6, 2019

Drivers traveling north of Cody this weekend need to build some extra time into their plans.

A $2.95 million pavement improvement project is scheduled to resume this month on Wyoming Highway 120. The project begins at the end of the concrete highway section on the north edge of Cody and extends about seven and a half miles to the top of Skull Creek Hill.

Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Todd Frost of Cody says the contractor is scheduled to resume work on June 7, and work should take about a week, depending on favorable weather.

Frost says motorists should expect delays up to 20 minutes during chip sealing and fog sealing and traffic will be controlled with flaggers and a pilot car.

Contract completion date is June 30th of this year.
