Traffic Delays in the Basin This Week

Highway crews are busy with projects throughout the Big Horn Basin this week, which will impact traffic in several directions.
A $1.5 million pavement improvement project is scheduled to begin this week between Otto and Basin on Highway 30. 20-minute traffic delays are expected in the six-mile-long construction zone while the work is being done.
Additionally, paving is underway on a section of Highway 14 through Shell Canyon. The $1.8 million project replaced timber retaining walls with mechanically-stabilized earth retaining walls. The construction zone runs between mileposts 23 and 25 east of Greybull. Twenty-minute traffic delays are expected during paving operations.
And paving is expected to be complete this week on the Highway 31 improvement project between Manderson and Hyattville. For the five mile stretch between mileposts 14.5 and 19.5, 20 minute delays are expected until this portion of the project is complete. Chip sealing on the road will be done next summer.
