Ty Peterson Claims Ron Thon Title, Broncs Finish 9th

Cody and area wrestling teams were in Riverton over the weekend taking part in one of the biggest regular season events, in the Cowboy State, the Ron Thon.

The Broncs would finish in 9th as a team. Green River and Evanston were the only 3A schools to finish ahead of them.

Ty Peterson was the lone Champion for the Broncs as he took 1st place at 113 pounds.

As for the rest of the Broncs:

At 106- William Wood was 5th.

At 152- Jackson Wood was 5th.

At 170- Dylan Campbell was 5th.

At 220- Jace Grant was 3rd

As for Cody’s lone Filly. Ashton Hubbs would finish in 2nd place individually. This is Ashton’s first loss to another Wyoming girl. However, she lost to a Class 4A opponent in Kelly Walsh’s Olivia Smith.
